Position Summary:
Responsible for the formulation and testing of molecular biology grade reagents. Assist with planning and scheduling reagent manufacturing activities. Provides training and support to lower level personnel in operations pertinent to reagent manufacturing. Generates work orders independently. Duties also include aiding in the transfer of processes/products from the research and development areas.
Education and Experience:
Requires Bachelor's in a chemistry or biological science related field with 2-5 years experience in a biotechnology operations/manufacturing based environment. Experience in formulating chemical/and biological compounds following approved procedures. Strong documentation writing skills and maintaining SOPs/MRPs, is desirable. Real Time PCR knowledge and cGMP/QSR experience is a plus. Knowledge of general laboratory equipment (e.g. balances, pH meters, pipettes, centrifuges, etc.) is essential.
